Pasta with Sausage

1lb of rotini or elbow macaroni

1 can of Barilla meat sauce

5 links of sweet Italian sausage

1 cup grated mozzarella cheese

Boil pasta until al dente. Meanwhile, cut the sausage out of the casing and cook fully. Heat the sauce in another pot while cooking the other two things. Drain pasta once al dente. Drain the oil out of the sausage pan and dump the cooked pasta into the sausage pan. Now coat generously with the sauce. You can just mix the mozzarella in here or take the extra step of baking it. If you bake it layer sausage pasta with mozzarella and then bake it for 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

I’m dying trying to find this recipe. Joe’s Shanghai in Chinatown, NYC on Pell St. makes some pretty darn good Chao Nian Gao (it’s not on the menu, you’ll have to request it in Mandarin/Cantonese)
